News and Announcements

New Releases

MITVMA and MITVMC have been upgraded to z/VM 4.4. This is the last IBM supported version of VM available on the IBM 7060-H30.

The remaining DB2/VM servers have been upgraded from 7.1.0 to 7.4.0.

Software Phase Out

Plans are underway to remove several products with limited or no usage and to eliminate old versions of products where multiple versions exist. This will both save money in software maintenenance costs and reduce staff time supporting and maintaining the products.

These products have recently been removed:
  • COBOL
  • FORTRAN
  • SAS Access for DB2
  • GDDM/PGF

The following products are currently being considered:

  • C/370
  • EASYTRIEVE
  • PL/I
  • SAS
